hello, adorne

I’ll never forget when a coworker of mine started using a “happy light” in his cubicle. At the time, I thought his decision was endearing and a bit silly, but as it turns out he was actually onto something. Those little lamps mimic natural light and natural light has been proven to reduce depression, even pain. Clients often wish that their rooms had more natural light, that the space could look and feel lighter and brighter. This is just one way that interior design choices can positively or negatively impact a person’s mood. Think about color schemes, curved vs angular lines, how you feel when you look at a beautiful piece of art, what the presence of live plants does to a room. We all have different preferences, but the common thread is that these elements can physiologically affect our responses to a built environment.

We lead fast-paced often stressful lives and the home can either add to that dynamic or be an escape from it. Creating escapes is what drove me towards getting my degree in Interior Design and launching Adorne. From an early age my creative energy consistently gravitated towards design and home decor. Countless hours were spent mentally rearranging whatever room I was in for maximum aesthetics and functionality. Before understanding anything about how environment affects mood, I had an innate understanding that some spaces felt uplifting, refreshing, or even inspiring where others left me feeling drained. This stirred in me a desire to design homes that serve both the physical and emotional needs of my clients.

At Adorne, you will experience the highest levels of excellence in the design of your home- from our first discovery call all the way to final installation. We are committed to making the interior design process a streamlined, first-class experience that puts your mind at ease.
